Get ready for some Big entertainment

Anil Ambani led Anil Dhirubhai Ambani group(ADAG) has big plans for entertainment industry. The company through its entertainment company Reliance Big Entertainment is finalizing plans to produce and distribute 69 films during the next twenty four months alone.

The company also plans to add another 300 cinema halls to its present kitty of around 100 that it operates right now.The Reliance Big Entertainment has signed a deal with Vidhu Vinod Chopra for two films including “Broken Horses”, a mainstream English film. The company has also signed a six film deal with Farhan Akhtar’s production house.

There are several much hyped film that are in the list that Ambanis have fnalised. The films include the much hyped Sarkar Raj as well. The film include Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan.

If this was not enough, the company is exploring the possibility of entering Hollywood in a big way as well by roping in big names from the Hollywood.

World No:1 Justine Henin retires from tennis

Justine Henin announced her shock retirement from tennis. Currently,World No:1 in women's tennis, Henin from Belgium, ruled the women's tennis for nearly 2 years. She was nicknamed "Federer of Women's tennis".

she won 41 career titles and 7 Grand Slam singles championships: 4 French Opens, 2 United States Opens and an Australian Open. She also won the 2004 Olympic gold medal.The Belgian will not go for a fourth consecutive title at the French Open, which begins in 10 days. She chose not to try one last time to win Wimbledon - the one Grand Slam that eluded her.

Henin, dry-eyed and eloquent at a news conference in her native Belgium as she called it a career at age 25, effective immediately.
“It’s a page that’s turning; I don’t feel sadness, it’s more relief,” Henin said. “I know it’s a shock for many people, but it’s a decision I’ve thought long and hard about.”

Shah Rukh licks my feet: Aamir Khan

A few months back, when Aamir was asked what he would like to ask King Khan, he replied, "I would like to ask Shah Rukh how it feels to be No. 2." While SRK took it in the right spirit, there certainly seems to be no love lost between the two superstars. Aamir Khan is at it again, this time far more fierce.

The latest comes in Aamir's blog where he talks about Shah Rukh licking his feet.In Aamir's own words: "Shah Rukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?".

”Now, before you jump to any conclusions, let me add that Shah Rukh is the name of our dog. And before you jump to any further conclusions let me add that I had nothing to do with naming him. In fact, Shah Rukh is the dog of the caretakers of our house. When I bought this house it came with the caretakers and their dog!", Says Aamir in his blog.

”Some of my friends claim that I bought the house just because of the dog. I would have to be a serious fan of Shah Rukh's to want to do that. Your guess…."
He then takes one final dig at SRK, saying, "Well, Shah Rukh is once again begging for my attention, so let me get back to him. He smells too much, I think he needs a bath. Heel boy, heel."

Slapgate Controversy:Harbhajan banned for 5 ODI's

The Indian board banned off-spinner Harbhajan Singh for five one-day internationals on Wednesday for a slapping incident involving Shanthakumaran Sreesanth, his Indian team-mate.A three-man BCCI disciplinary committee panel which met in Mumbai today afternoon comprised of BCCI President,Sharad Pawar, Mr.Shashank Manohar and BCCI vice-president Chirayu Amin took the decision based on the report submitted by board-appointed Commissioner Sudhir Nanavati.

The disciplinary committee, which met on Wednesday, had decided to invoke Rule 3.2.1 of the BCCI regulations wherein the maximum punishment is 'a ban up to a maximum of five ODIs and/or three test matches'.

The ban means Harbhajan will miss the tri-nation series in Bangladesh also involving Pakistan as well as the first two matches of the Asia Cup tournament that will be held in Pakistan.On April 28, Harbhajan was banned for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season after being found guilty of slapping by the match referee.The punishment that has meant the off-spinner has nearly lost Rs 3 crore of his match fee.

"This is the last chance for Harbhajan. Any more acts of indiscipline would result in a life ban," BCCI President Mr.Pawar told. So, Harbhajan, surely, gets a big rap on his nuckles, which will be a big lesson for players like Sreesanth.

Woman to head missile project for the first time

After rising to the ranks of Lt Generals in the army and Air Marshals in the IAF, a woman is now set to head the country's key missile project.45-year-old Dr Tessy Thomas, one of the around 200 women scientists and technicians working for the DRDO, has been cleared to be appointed to the post of Project Director of the upgraded version of the 2000 km-long nuclear capable Agni-II missile.
Thomas is presently the Associate Project Director of the 3,000 km range Agni-III missile project.Asked about the new version of Agni-II being planned, Thomas, who was yesterday honoured along with the entire team of Agni-III by the Prime Minister, told PTI that "It is still a confidential project. It will be called Agni-II A (2)." "I like my job. I feel I am contributing to my nation's security," Thomas, who has named her son after the country's light combat fighter Tejas, said.A B.Tech from Thrissur Engineering College, Calicut, and M.Tech from Pune, Thomas is an expert on all solid system propellant.Thomas, who did the post analysis of the failure of the first Agni-III missile, said there were some shortcomings in the test of the missile which were overcome for a smooth flawless test flight on May seven.

Renault Nissan ties with Bajaj for the low cost car in the world

Renault-Nissan has announced a joint venture with Indian firm Bajaj to produce a $2,500 (£1,276) car.
The vehicle, so far known only as Codename ULC, will cost about the same as Tata Motors' Nano - which it has claimed is the world's cheapest car.
India will be the ULC car's main market with 400,000 to be made each year in a factory in Chakan, Maharashtra state in the west of the country.
Bajaj is the second-biggest maker of motorbikes in the country.
No details of the new car have been released, though production is expected to begin in 2011.
The Nano has captured the imagination of many people in India - making it a realistic prospect for some people who had previously not been able to afford to buy a car.
The four-door five-seater car, which goes on sale later this year, has a 33bhp, 624cc, engine at the rear.
It has no air conditioning, no electric windows and no power steering, but two deluxe models will be on offer.
India's domestic car market is predicted to boom in the coming years on the back of the country's fast-growing economy and increased consumer wealth.
Indian car sales are predicted to more than quadruple to $145bn by 2016.
However environmental critics have said that the car will lead to mounting air and pollution problems on India's already clogged roads.
