Trust vote on July 21, 22.


The UPA government has announced that the vote of confidence will take place on July 22. A two-day special session of Parliament will be called on July 21.On Friday, the top Congress leadership closed ranks over the nuclear deal.

The Prime Minister has told the President that he wants to face a trust vote in Parliament and wants to do this as soon as possible.Breaking her silence over the IAEA safeguard agreement issue, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi has thanked the Left parties.''We thank Left parties for support despite of the fact that we could not carry them on nuke agreement,'' said Sonia.

She has also acknowledged Samajwadi Party, the newly-found friend of Congress, for support.Talking about the trust vote and the majority of the party in the Parliament, she said, ''We will be able to prove our majority and fulfill our remaining agenda.''Meanwhile, RJD president and NCP chief Sharad Pawar have said that they would work with Left after the elections.
