Yuvraj out, Sehwag made Vice-Captain for SL Test series


Yuvraj Singh, the VC captain of the Indian One day team is dropped from the Sri Lankan test tour. This decision takes us back to Australian Test tour where Yuvraj's form was appaling. Sachin Tendulkar comes back into active cricket after he himself opted out of Tri-Nation tour in Bangladesh and Asia Cup in Pakistan, due to his groin injury. Harbhajan Singh who has served 5-match ban due to the Slap-gate controversy.

As, everyone know, earlier in the day, Dhoni, the Captain of the One-day Indian Team and the Vice-captain of the test team has opted out of the Sri Lankan test team. Dhoni has been playing non-stop cricket right from Bangladesh tour which took place on May 2007.

In his place, Virender Sehwag who is having a great year in all forms of the game is made the Vice Captain for the Test team. Zaheer Khan who was nursing a heel injury makes his comeback into the Indian Test team. Sreesanth, suffering from Side strain is left out of the squad.
