According to reports out of Japan, the Sony PS3 version of Capcom’s Devil May Cry 4 is performing far better than the Xbox 360 version. The reports are that the PS3 version of Devil May Cry 4 is outselling the Xbox 360 version at a rate of 5 to 1.
The sales report coming out of Japan is that the first day of sales for Devil May Cry 4 was mainly made up of PS3 software sales.
The PS3 version outsold the Xbox 360 version of Devil May Cry 4 at a rate of 5 to 1.
The PS3 version sold 140,000 units in Japan compared to the Xbox 360 version, which only sold 30,000 copies.
It is going to be very interesting when the game launches in North America and Europe, as it should be curious to see how the Xbox 360 and PS3 sales compare there.
The game for the Xbox 360 in North American and Japan will be cheaper at retail than the PS3 version, and traditionally, games which launch on the Xbox 360 and PS3 tend to sell better on the Xbox 360 in North America.
Either way, right now in Japan it is the PS3 version of Devil May Cry 4 that has taken the early lead.
