The fully operational 700 km, Agni-I has been test fired and the best part is it is entirely operated by the Indian Military, as they are the ones who will operationalise this missile in the future. This perhaps is another feather in the cap of DRDO(Defence Research and Development Organisation). This portrays India's strength in missile technology and it also sustains its position as the leader in military capabilities in South-East Asia.
The missile soared majestically at 10.15 a.m. from a road-mobile launcher, a huge truck, on the Integrated Test Range on the island. It cut a parabolic path across the sky, climbed into space and dived into the Bay of Bengal, reaching a distance of 700 km. Its re-entry system worked flawlessly.
